Dolce Vita - Hotness For A Bargain

Hey y'alllllllll! I am doing a quick post before my cycling class at 7:15. And it is about a topic close to my heart... shoes of course! I ordered a pair of DV Dolce Vita heels last week and they came today and are sooo fabulous that I had to give DV a shout out. Not only do their shoes look fantastic and sexy, they are so insanely comfortable. My bf bought me a pair of black suede DV loafers called the Vita Marcel (pic below) a few months ago and I kind of live in them... they are so comfortable.

The heels I got today are called the Boston Platform Pump and they honestly almost feel like flats because the platform is so big that the heel height is minimized. Soooo comfy. I just sprayed them with suede protector so right now they are hanging out in the other room getting mentally prepared to be worn fiercely tomorrow!

Ok, ok, I will tone it down - clearly I NEED to go to a cycling class tonight. Anyway, I went on the Dolce Vita site and picked a few of my favorite shoes from their Spring 2012 line - so yummy! Enjoy :)

This big chunky cork heel and leather upper would be amazing with skinny jeans, a maxi, ripped up cut off jean shorts... basically anything! This is a must have for me. They also come in a black suede upper. $189 Check them out here!

Oh yeah... these are my black loafers that I love so much. They might look kind of nerdy by themselves but they go with a ton of stuff... I like to wear them with a dress or skirt thats a little shorter because they tame down the whole look a bit. Check them out here!

My Weekend...

Its snowing here in Baltimore, which is strange because it was 70 degrees earlier this week - but I am not complaining! I love snow. I did stuff around the apartment all day, went to the gym, escorted by bf to the salon to get his haircut, nothing exciting. Oh - speaking of the salon, kind of - I was reading the most recent Women's Health mag and they had some really awesome tips for keeping your skin hydrated in the winter. I was a good citizen and didn't take the magazine home with me, so once I pick one up at the store, I am going to try some of their suggestions and let you guys know how it goes.

Anyway... its going to be a lazy night since I'm not really into driving my Mini around in the snow. Have a lovely weekend and for you Pats/Giants fans, enjoy the game tomorrow!

Ok, I have to get back to my normal posts next week but have a few more beautifullll pics to share. We visited so many great stores... it was glorious.

This was a fantastic console in Interieurs that was made from a draped metal mesh and was stunning. See the full specs here.

I thought this was pretty creative... this antique company had different sized nails in glass jars on display. It might sound weird, but it looked cool!

Lunch Time Post: Fun In The Big City

I know I have posted all decor/design pics so far, so here are a few of my randoms... it was a great trip!

I was able to snap a quick pic of this insane Alexander McQueen dress before the security guards in the store yelled at me for taking pics... oops :)

I just loved everything about this... the wood floor, luxe fur rug, antique mirror table, books.. perfection!

We stopped in the Alexis Bittar store and I am now officially obsessed. All of the sales girls had stacks of Bittar bangles on and they totally got me - now I need them in my life.

I took a pic of this Louboutin window at Bergdorf during the day so the reflection takes away from it a bit, but you can still see the fabulousness inside. 

We stayed at the Plaza and had drinks at their Champagne Bar before going to see Book Of Mormon and have dinner (yes, in case you were wondering, I have the best boss on earth).

Us! Not the best pic on earth but hey, bartenders don't specialize in photography, they specialize in bellinis! By the way, it was literally the best bellini I have ever had. 

Waiting for Book Of Mornmon to start - it was HYSTERICAL. Although the 80 year old couple in front of us didn't think so... maybe they thought it was a play celebrating the glories of being Mormon? Ah well.

The Plaza has an Assouline store upstairs and they have all kinds of wonderful books - this was a set of 3 Chanel books that would be great for a coffee table or shelf. 

Louis Vuitton - Icons? Yes, my home needs this. 

Fixtures & Tile

We stopped by Ann Sacks and Waterworks while in the city to see what they have thats new and fresh. Ann Sacks is a tile and stone company that has an array of product. The company opened in 1980 and began selling only Mexican tiles. After a year in business, Sacks was asked to fit tile to Kohler products and her company grew from there.

Waterworks not only sells tile and stone, but also has some of the best fixtures, fittings and furnishings in the industry. As you will see below, both companies carry gorgeous products. I learned a lot walking through both stores and now have plenty of ideas for my dream bathroom and kitchen :)

Of course - chevron! For me its too much of a fad to tile into my house since it will be worn out in a few years, but I certainly love it right now.

This was a gorgeous antique mirror tile that was so amazing in person... the picture does  not really do it justice.

Again... the sky blue tile in slightly different size and style looked great

Wild Wednesdays: Suzani Madness

While we were in New York, we saw a few vendors that had TONS of suzanis and middle eastern textiles. They were made into pillows, upholstered onto ottomans, benches, or still in their original state - all of which looked amazing.

They were so much fun... its nice to have a suzani or two in a room, but seeing them all on display together qualifies as a Wild Wednesday post. All of the colors are insane!
