Beauty Products I Cannot Live Without

I promise I will get back to decor, design and all things home related tomorrow! But all of this red carpet-glam squad-how to get the look stuff on TV prompted me to do a post about the beauty products that I use every day and can't live without. I don't know about you guys, but I absolutely love reading/watching make up tutorials and learning about products that I haven't used before.

I will save my morning and night skin routine for another post and focus on make up today. For any of you who are on the market for some new products, I will start by saying I have combination skin and try to use products that cater to my skin's needs. I will start with my products and end with four products that I want to try in the near future. Ok, here we go...

I am actually out of this and am hating my life because of it. There is no better primer than this. In fact, I have tried other versions of Smashbox primers (there is a hydrating primer that does nothing for me). It really keeps my make up looking the same at the end of the work day as it did in the morning - amazing! $36

After my primer sits for about 5 minutes (I get dressed while I wait) I use my fingers to apply this Laura Mercier oil free tinted moisturizer with SPF 20. It is really light and does not provide much coverage, which - thank the lord - I don't need quite yet! It just evens out my overall tone. I love it because I don't even notice it. Have you ever used a product that you feel like you have to wash off the second you get home at the end of the day? This is not like that at all! I wear it in nude (yes, I am pale). $42

On days that I feel I need a bit more coverage - we all have those days from time to time ladies - I use a fat Mac brush and dust my face with this Laura Mercier mineral powder, SPF 15. It is also very light, natural looking and gives my face a matte look. I wear it in Real Sand and I adore it! $35

When I read the reviews for Nars Orgasm blush, I found it hard to believe that is could actually look good on ANY skin tone. But I was proven wrong... literally anyone can wear it! I am pale the majority of the year now that I am a grown up :) so bronze doesn't always work. This blush gives me a warm peach shade that is more natural looking than traditional pink blush. I highly recommend this one for anyone who hasn't tried it yet. Just a quick swipe along the top of your cheek bones and you are good to go! $27

This is the only product I use that I can buy at the grocery store... I wish I could buy more there! It is a simple liquid liner, but what I like so much about it is the felt tip, which allows for VERY simple application. I love the cat eye look and the tip of this liner makes it easy. I had a Chanel liquid liner with a brush on the end and I really was not happy with the way it looked. Unfortunately, this L'Oreal liner does not last through the whole day, so I am searching for a replacement. Still, I wanted to recommend it because I have used it for years so it is by no means a terrible product. Oh yeah... and the price is right! $6.50

I recently started using this Benefit mascara a few months ago after it was recommended to me by a friend and I love it! It makes my lashes look super long and full. I do have to apply two or three coats, but I think that is pretty standard to get the mayja lash look. My only complaint is that the bottle does dry out after about 2 months... but I can live with that since it makes my lashes look good. $22

PRODUCT TO TRY: I want to try this YSL liquid liner. It is advertised as a felt tip pen, although it kinda looks like a brush in the picture so I will have to go to the mall and check it out. It did get good reviews so I am def interested... $29

PRODUCT TO TRY: This is Nars' multi-purpose stick in their famous color, Orgasm.  It can be used on your cheeks, lip, eyes, etc. I think it could potentially give your face that J.Lo glow... or be an oily mess. Again, it is one I must try. If you have used it, please comment! $39

PRODUCT TO TRY: This is a lip balm and lip stick combined into one fat little crayon look-alike. It seems like it would be easy to put on while you are on the run because it doesn't require the careful application that lipstick does. Red was shown, but I would like to try it in any color! $24

PRODUCT TO TRY: Finally, I saw this lipstick on Pintrest and fell in love. When I saw it on someone in a picture, it looked lighter than it is shown here. It is another product that I need to see in person. It is the Rouge Volupte and the color is called Sweet Honey. $34

I'm with you! I wish I could buy more grocery brands but I do love Maybeline's "Falsies" Mascara... The commercial is silly but the prodcut works!
