DC Design Center - Dream Home

Good evening loveliesss. Tonight my co-worker Lauren and I went to the DC Design Center to for their Dream Home event. A designer is chosen to decorate one of seven rooms and each room is influenced by a particular piece of art; it is a pretty cool concept. I had two favorite rooms...  there are images of each below. Because this was a preview party, the design center does not have pictures of each room posted, but I will put them on here once they are made public so you can see the entire room.

Oopsies... was trying to take a pic of the fabulous mother of pearl wall covering below and realized my camera was still on the face-time setting. Ah well, now you guys can see the new Essie polish I just bought this week; its a beautiful pastel purple called To Buy Or Not To Buy... a question I struggle with every day so its quite fitting. :)

Pretty fab right?

Check out these cool panels featured in the dining room... very different.

Can you even handle this lucite piano??? I nearly died when I saw it. This was in the Mad Men living room... ahhhh I want to move in.

Shelving in the Mad Men room... loving the inlay boxes.

Collection of decorative shells was a nice touch against the gray wall covering.

This was the entry room and was painted a gorgeous jewel tone blue. It was very bold but looked unreal in person.

Aren't these flowers gorgeous? I had to snap a quick pic while we munched hor dourves and sipped pinot grigio.  Mmmm delicious dahling.

Isn't it great? It made the room look so awesome and fit perfectly with the Mad Men theme. They said it was shipped from London - can you imagine the shipping cost? LOL. Thank you so much for stopping by! Your blog is great and I am going to add it to my daily reading list. Have a great weekend!
PS: Thanks - I thought the tag line was pretty good too :)
